SYNOPSIS: Widowed for the third time when an explosion at the fireworks factory she ran with her husband nearly kills her, Erhao is left semi-comatose and vulnerable, later assaulted by her brother-in-law while staying with her in-laws. Together with her late husband's deaf brother, she sets out on a journey through rural China in search of shelter and warmth, a trip that becomes as much an escape fantasy as a quest for survival.
